ICT professionals have much to gain by joining the association. Below are some of the benefits:-

MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
There are 5 types of memberships in MCPA, covering just about anybody who is already an expert in ICT or is on the way to becoming one.
- Student Members [Entry fee: 1500 kyats; Annual fee: 2000 kyats]
- Students still attending a computer university or college (at least 3 months after enrollment)
- Students still attending an IT diploma course opened by HRD or officially by the government
- Students still attending an international IT diploma course
- Students who have finished at least 3 months studying for an MCPA Professional Certification Course at an MCPA Accredited Centre
- Associate Members [Entry fee: 3000 kyats; Annual fee: 4000 kyats]
- Holders of international IT diplomas
- Holders of international professional certificates from vendors (i.e. MCSE, MCSD, CNE, etc.)
- Holders of HRD and government IT diplomas;
- Passed MCPA Exam;
- Holders of a computer degree
- Holder of a B.E(Electronic) from YTU
- If working as an IT professional, following requirements have to be fulfilled:
- Must be over the age of 21
- Copy of company registration
- Recommendation letter stating that person has worked for 3 years as an IT professional
- Accompanied by recommendations of 2 EC members
- Ordinary Member [Entry fee: 4000 kyats; Annual fee: 4000 kyats]
- Members who have been Associate Member for more than 3 years and continuing to work as IT professionals
- Holders of a computer degree employed as IT professionals for more than 2 years
- Recommended by MCPA EC Meeting as someone who can contribute to the association
- Fellow Member [No membership fees]
- Ordinary Members employed as IT professionals for more than 10 years (member has to apply)
- EC Members who have served a full EC term
- Persons who have worked or are working as Professor or higher position at a university's computer-related major
- MCPA EC Meeting has to recommend persons who meet the above requirements.
- Honorary Member [No membership fees]
- An honorary member who has supported and assisted the development and dissemination of computer science and technology in Myanmar
- MCPA EC Meeting has to recommend persons who meet the above requirements.
